CARLOTTA AWARD 3rd Edition 2025

international congress

ENEA together with METROFOOD-IT and the Academy of Sciences inaugurates the third edition of the Carlotta Award 2025. The award, inspired by the figure of Carlotta Parisani Strampelli, wife and collaborator of the great Italian geneticist Nazzareno Strampelli, aims to give due recognition to the female role in the field of research, sending a positive message to young researchers dedicated to the genetic improvement of wheat and other cereals. Today, due to climate change and insufficient global production, research is increasingly focusing on the selection of drought- and disease-resistant and highly productive cereals capable of meeting global demands.

The award will take place in the framework of the international conference "FROM SEED TO PASTA-V" (FSTP-5) in Bari, Italy, from 24 to 27 September 2025, and will focus on the following topics:

a) genetics, genomics and breeding of wheat (2,3,4 and 5 sessions of FSTP-5)

b) sustainable wheat production for security, food quality and safety, durum wheat-pasta value chain (1, 6 and 8 of FSTP-5 sessions)

Deadline submission CV candidates 30/04/2025

The cost of the registration fee at the FSTP-5 Congress hosting the award, exclusively for the award candidates, remains an early registration fee for the entire time available.
