The ability to imagine and define the challenges of the future of research brings with it the correct identification of the objectives and concrete actions to be pursued and undertaken. Interdisciplinary skills are fundamental since answers and solutions can be found in the integration of knowledge. In this research "laboratory of research" it is essential to open doors, welcome partnerships and collaborations, increasingly stimulating interaction and exchange of information. The research of the future is also done by training new generations of researchers, capable of acquiring aptitudes and skills with a high vision.

TOMATO TRACE project funded by PSR Campania 2014-2020 aims to valorise of the PDO Vesuvian Piennolo tomato and strengthen the liaison with the territory by developing traceability models based on sensorial, spectroscopic and multielement analyses. The project is coordinated by the University of Naples Federico II, under the scientific responsibility of Prof. Paola Adamo. The event will represent the opportunity to make the point about the progresses of the activities with the project partners and the companies involved.
